Acoustic Solutions for Stockholms Estetiska Gymnasium
At Estetiska Gymnasiet in Stockholm, Vibratec’s solutions are helping create acoustically optimized rehearsal rooms and performance spaces with effective control of airborne and structure-borne noise.
The construction of 13 rehearsal rooms and a concert hall is in full swing at Stockholms Estetiska Gymnasium.
All rooms are being built as free-standing room-in-room constructions with heavy floating floors (garden concrete tiles) and five layers of gypsum boards in the walls and ceilings to ensure minimal sound transmission between rehearsal spaces and surrounding premises.
Vibratec’s flexible floor bracket VT-FFB is used together with timber joists to create a rigid and robust floating floor system capable of meeting the demanding acoustic requirements of music education facilities.
Work will continue throughout the summer, including the installation of a spring-suspended ceiling in the large hall, with completion scheduled ahead of the start of the autumn semester in August.
