Bonded Foam
Product Characteristics
Raw material
Polyurethane foam granules, glued together with glue made from polyol and MDI. Does not contain formaldehyde. Density from 135 to 300 kg/m3. Tolerance +/- 20%
Temperature
Avoid temperatures below -40° Celsius and above 120° Celsius. At a constant temperature of over 115° Celsius, there is a risk that the material will be slowly degraded.
Effects of heat
Minimal change to properties when exposed to changing temperatures. Heat conductivity is 0.0400 W/mK.
Fire classification
Bonded foam 135 and 195 meet the requirements of fire test FMVSS 302/ISO 3795 & EN ISO 11925-2, Class E (DIN 4102 B2).
Bonded foam 300 meet fire rating FMVSS 302.
Autoignition temperatures are +340° Celsius.
Dimensional stability
Highly elastic and stable.
Physiologically
Neutral – no negative reactions from skin exposure.
Resistance
Tolerates weak acids and alkali solvents. Does not tolerate extended exposure to sunlight (not UV protected).
Water absorption
Approx. 80% of volume.
CSR and certificates
Contact Vibratec for more information.
Product Applications
Great for damping high energy impacts, for example weights dropping on floor in a gym or training facility.
