Ceiling System VT-MSH
Product Characteristics
An excellent feature of acoustic ceiling system VT-MSH is that the elastic hanger can be back mounted as well as top mounted. Back mounting the hanger on a floor joist will greatly reduce the build height. When a bigger air gap is needed, threaded rods can be used instead of bolts.
Using elastically suspended ceiling systems is a great way to reduce unwanted noise between floors in buildings. These acoustic suspended ceilings must also be de-coupled from surrounding walls by using for instance self adhesive elastic strip VT-Strip.
Screws, threaded bars, click-ons and ceiling profiles are not a part of the product but can be included if a complete ceiling system is required.
Product Applications
Paired with Vibratecs’ click-on hangers and profiles:
- acoustic suspension of ceilings
Without click on hangers and profiles:
- Speakers
- Pipes
- Ventilation
Note
For beam structures, back mounting of the hangers could reduce the total height of the system.

Vibratec supplies soundproofing solutions to Filmstaden in Uppsala
Constructing movie theaters with cinema halls side-by-side requires efficient sound isolation, which can be a challenging task. Each cinema must be built as a “floating box,” completely separate from the structure, using a “room-in-room” or “box-in-box” solution.
