Floating Floor Systems

Floating floors are used where there is a requirement to either protect a noise sensitive area or to isolate an area where excessive noise is produced.

Our floor systems isolate the working floor from the supporting structure and can be designed to take domestic, commercial or industrial loads. We focus on designing resilient floating floors for all types of activities to reduce impact and structure borne sound.

Typical applications are apartments, training facilities, recording studios, rehearsal rooms, concert halls, bowling halls, discotheques, pubs etc.

Vibratec has been using our VT-BAT system for many years, which is very effective and easy to install. We also have several other flooring systems such as VT-FLOAT, VT-dBlock and VT-JFS for different applications and customization based on project needs.

Floating Floor Systems

  • The acoustic floor system VT-BAT 50mm. Elastic Regufoam 570+ pads and two layers of floorboard glued togehter with our damping glue DG-2000 make up this sub-floor. A self-adhesive elastic strip surrounds the floor construction and decouples it from the walls. This greatly reduceses structure borne noise caused by imacts from droppping objects or walking, jumping etc. An EPD-certified product.
